ISLAMABAD — Pakistani multimedia environmental reporter Amar Guriro has been named Journalist of the Month by the International Journalists Network (IJNet).
Interestingly, Guriro became a digital journalist after learning about a fellowship on IJNet more than ten years ago. He says that training helped him.
The fellowship titled —ICFJ’s Reporting Across Cultures: Freedom of Expression in the Digital Age — was the turning point in his career.
“I became a digital journalist thanks to that training,” IJNet quoted Guriro as saying. “And that has changed my entire life.”
